It is 17:45,
Lunch at fancy restaurant in unfancy attire, nasty looks from waiter
admired overweight dog and bored dog owner passing office windows
bemoaned the fact that one works on a saturday
Spent two minutes wondering what would life be like if had taken different path ten years ago, feeling sorry for oneself (twenty minutes)

Hi!
Yeah, it's about that time where I am too!
I've also walked my dogs.
I've fed one child, the other two were out on paper-rounds - they'll feed themselves when they come in!
I've tidied my basement utility room coz I'm waiting for the washer repair man to come.
I've tidied the lounge while I watched a taped episode of Dr Phil (I just LOVE all that American cr*p!!) - mopped up a Pepsi spill coz one of my dogs decided my son's chocolate looked appetizing and she jumped up at the coffee table and knocked the drink off!!
She knows for definite that she's in the dog house!
I'm going round to one of my neighbours in a minute, coz a dog was knocked down outside our house last night - the driver never stopped - and this neighbour sorted to the dog out - so I'm keen to know how the dog went on.
And all before 10am!!
How good are we??!!

Well, I ... got up ... at 5pm yesterday afternoon. I ironed some uniforms, washed up, did myself a spaghetti bolognaise and watched a Ben Afflek DVD (Surviving Christmas), had a shower, got a uniform on and went to work.
I listened to Handover, cleaned 24 easy chairs, hoovered two lounges, bleached a kitchenette, cleaned a dozen wheelchairs then I went round 22 rooms making sure that everyone was alive, safe, dry and sleeping - they were, that time.
I made myself a cup of coffee and continued writing an on-going letter. At midnight I exchanged floors with a colleague and I manned the ground floor. I updated four careplans and helped four ladies to the toilet and then back to bed. I folded up some towels and after my two colleagues did the next check upstairs, I loaded some washing into the washer.
I looked in on 26 people making sure they were comfortable and alive (I wish more people would snore, it would make my job a lot easier). One lady needed changing so my colleague and I helped her and then I went back upstairs after my senior came to relieve me.
I wrote the letter for a while longer and then we did another check which took nearly an hour because upstairs, people don't buzz for the toilet. I then set six dining tables so they'd be ready for breakfast the second the next shift came on.
I then had my breakfast - two Weetabix - that I'd brought in with me and my senior - who had rejoined me - had her porridge and we watched the real Miami Vice - not on the television, we're not allowed to watch it. - outside. Eight police cars racing up and down, obviously after someone. Then the chopper was out, all this just two days after a local supermarket was 'firebombed' in the middle of the night. I wasn't on that night but apparently, it was exciting.
The next check wasn't nearly as long as the previous and I continued the letter until a lady came along and asked me to help her dress, after that it was a case of helping what seemed like 75 people get dressed (it was eight actually) with the help of my colleague (who got a similar number of people up). I did the final check at 7.30 to make sure that the few remaining ladies and gentlemen were safe and dry. I heard the early shift starting to come up in the lift and I knew one lady wasn't dry so I, literally, ran along to get to her before anyone else did. I then passed on anything that needed passing on to the early shift team leader and left the building.
I wandered along the road, popping into my favourite sandwich shop for a bottle of milk and a Pepsi Max, passed the poor, injured supermarket and came home.
I logged on, and checked my emails, checked Ebay and came on Y!A then I decided to tease my cat with a video from YouTube (a cute baby kitten - mewing a lot; he can't figure out where the bairn is. He can hear it but he can never see it. I'm sure he thinks I've got a kitten stashed away somewhere). Meanwhile, I have the Monkees blasting on repeat through the headphones - 'She' has just started again.
I still have my coat on but then I am planning on going to the town this morning to post a couple of sales ... my local post office was inside the ill-fated supermarket .... I just have to figure out how to tear myself away from Yahoo Answers.
