Maybe you mean "The Day after Tomorrow"?

When the world has a new ice age and you see New York completely frozen over with freighter ships floating through the icy waters that are in the streets.

Cool film if you like simple scripted Disaster movies.

An Inconvenient Truth - Al Gore
The Day after Tommorrow - Jerry Brukheimer (spelt wrong)

These are the two most known movies regarding Global Warming and its long-term effect.

It's called 'An Inconvenient Truth'.
The comments by Al Gore are very spurious, as many scientists believe the Earth has a natural cycle of warming and cooling, and carbon dioxide emissions from man-made industry are not the reason the Earth is getting warmer.
