I donot have a DVD-drive, but i have a CD-drive.Somehow I wanted to play DVD coz it contains some important information.Is there any other way to play the DVD in my computer.

not without a DVD player on your computer....
it would be like me trying to put a DVD into a portable CD player.. it just wont work.

No you cannot play because it dosent support .
The DVD will have 4.2 GB of the data on a DVD and CD drives contains the 700 MB of the data and the Head of the CD and DVD are different to read the DVD and Cd's

If a CD Drive would have played the DVDs then why would have the IT people come with DVD Rom. Sorry brother, CD-drive cant play the DVD Cds, and DVD drives are pretty cheap now, why don't you for one.

Buy a DVD ROM drive.
The plain CD Rom will not play it.
Or find someone with a DVD Rom drive and a CD burner so you can copy what you need to CD.

is your pc an apple 1800 or a tandy? cause barbie`s pc comes with dvd player... dude dvd players cost like 20$ and plug right in where the cd drive hopefully was...

nicely DVD's are formatted in yet in a diverse way, they use a diverse record device. inspite of the undeniable fact that, DVD drives have been created after CD drives so as that they have been equipped with backward compatibility in techniques.

Either a DVD Player or see if you could get it converted to VCD format and play it in your CD Player.
