Well, I would tell you to write him a letter but, he may not understand you.Lol
But like someone else said, just tell him you are starting to have more feelings for him that you didn't expect to have.
Tell him you wanted to let him know so that you could get it off of your chest. Also, let him know that if he doesn't feel the same way, you understand and still wish to be Friends. But hopefully you are strong enough to deal with something like this. On the other hand, maybe he feels the same way but is to scared to tell you.

Take one step back and breathe deeply. Spending too much time with him may have confused you a bit.
