It has a lot of entertainment in it right now, it has Six Flags and also the Rangers Ballpark, if that's the kind of entertainment you're looking for. However, they are going to be building the new Cowboys stadium there in a few years, which while it would be cool, I can imagine traffic might be brutal on Sundays and I don't know what construction might be like.
I've lived north of Dallas, both in Dallas and Plano and I've enjoyed both. Downtown and Uptown are both pretty accessible but it's not too expensive.

I think Arlington is a good city to raise your family and if you work in FTW or Las Colinas at the farthest.
I moved from Arlington a little over a year ago so I could be closer to my job in Addison. The drive from S. Arlington to Addison was horrible! I had to move!!! You're looking at an hour to an hour and a half of driving in the morning and about 1 to 2 hours driving back home at night. It sux!!!
As far as night life, Arlington is boring!!! Sherlock's is pretty much the only bar in town and the whole freakin city goes there. Same ole' faces over and over. lol. But if you like 6 flags and baseball then maybe arlington is the place for you to live.
Parks Mall gets pretty scary once the sun goes down. Lot's of ghetto folks walking around.
I would stay in or around Dallas. The shopping and night life is soooo much better. I'm not sure if you care about that stuff or not. Try looking into Richardson, Plano, and Addison. I live in West Plano and I love it!

I have lived in arlington since '89. It hasgood entertainment at Six flags, hurricane Harbor, The new cowboys stadium in a couple of seasons, topless bars at edge of East Arlington,, lots of golf course,4 ez highways(360,I-20,820east,and I-30) go east on I 30 about 2 miles and see the wax muesum. The economy is good the sales tax is at 8.25%. When arlington approved a tax raise for the ranger ballpark, it lowered it back down to 7.75% when the stadium was paid for. So hopefully they will lower it again when the cowboy place is complete.

Arlington is a pretty good haul from Dallas. You may want to look at a place closer to Dallas to cut down on your commute time.

Arlington is a great ciry. But I agree, it's gonna be about an hour commute with traffic. Maybe longer than that. Take a vacation and spend a week there, see if you like it.

My sister used to regulate that distinctive complicated. it is beneficial to p.c.. up an house handbook and do a sprint study to get an theory of what your finding for. Arlington is an incredible section.
