there is no answer to this question. Whatever number anyone comes up with you can always add another digit to it. So infinity is the best answer sorry

Once up on a time, a buch of mathematicians decided to have a competition. Each of them would write down the largest number they could think of.

What happened was a showcase of cheap tricks. One wrote, "Whatever number, no matter how large, that Jim writes down plus one."

If you're REALLY interested in this question, you'll have to do some research on set theory. It turns out that mathematics has AXIOMS, ideas that the rest of math uses to function. You cannot come up with "the largest number we know" because we have many different classes of numbers.

You may be happy to know that in math we sometimes use some rediculous sized numbers, much much greater than anything we would ever use in physics. The largest prime number that we know right now is like 10 ^ 1,000,000.

A polygon with 10^100 sides would be so large that you could place it around the whole universe and it would still look like a circle.

There is no such thing as the largest number because, if you took that largest number and added one to it what would you have?
