I would like to know if anyone knows the stock cam lift for 2006 Harley 1200 Sportster Custom. They said that in 2004 they went to high flow heads yes I know this but they never give out the cam spec. I am trying to put together an engine combo but can't continue until I know the stock lift. It is part of figuring what ca,shaft profile I want to go with and how much I need to do to the heads. I have bulit many Race ENgines and Twin Cam Engines but never a SPortster or Buell. Thanks for the info.

First of all I don't trust people at dealerships, scam artists. Some kid or guy who doesnt own a SPortster or just figures cams are all the same for sportsters. I have been so dissapointed by my area dealerships and I live in Milwaukee. I don't need their help just numbers so I can figure a good motor combo and I will never buy an over the counter camshaft, I only have them custom ground. Because evry engine combo is different. Andrews, Woods, S&S, they are only ground to work with certain engine combos, mostly piece together jobs that are Wal Mart engines. Real builders figure out things like matching cams, to compression, flow, velocity, most of the time you don't need huge valves but those Wal MArt companies sell them and they are ****. Thanlks for the help!
