Do i need a paypal account to trade on ebay?

Not always, but most places on ebay will only accept Paypal. I would actually rather use Paypal than do it any other way... it is a lot safer... no account numbers are ever exchanged in the deal using Paypal.

My friend uses ebay without a pay pal account.
there are other options you can use like mail order and internet banking.
If you look on ebay you will find methods of payment. read through them and it will most liekly answer all your questions :)

You don't, but it's the preferred payment method of most sellers I've encountered as its safe and easy. It's up to the seller to decide payment method, and paypal is just one of them.

But....Many sellers will now only take Pay Pal as a form of payment because the payment is transferred immediately. .
