It seems to me that most of the time I'll self-diagnose and the doctor will instantly accept that diagnosis and hand me a prescription and that'll pretty much be the end of it. I should find a new doctor. What do you think?

Thats the number one sign of a bad doctor. Switch. I had a good doctor for ten years, but lost her because my insurance changed. Anytime I went in with a pain or concern she gave me a thourough look over AND listened to what I had to say was hurting me. I had routine blood testing done too.

No,why:I have such a relationship with my fam.doctor and the specialists I see in the hospital.
I AM THE ONE WHO FEELS WHAT'S WRONG.
They can go along or disagree
Most of the time i don't agree with them and in the end I am right,so what does that tell you.

When every time your self-diagnose is right you should become a doctor so you can be your own.

Sounds like it, next time just go in and don't tell him what you think you have. Let him guess for once.
