Dube, buddy is a nice word. It means "pal" or "friend".

But if he/she said "hey buddy , get outta my face"...then it means they were angry.

Depends on the tone of voice. Sometimes "buddy" means "friend", but it is also frequently used in an angry way, particularly by someone who doesn't know your name.
