Punk music from the 70's & 80's, being a punk, or what now passes as punk music?
No it wasn't very good in the day, it had energy but nothing more.

True punk was that "wearing safety pins through your cheek" thing from the 80's. The current punk is closer now to a combination of old time new wave, rock, goth, industrial, and thrash metal.
I prefer straight-ahead rock and heavy metal!
