The first day of my last period was february 9th,for the past three days I have had a light brown discharge instead of blood,no period pains,no discomfort, My period doesn't usually do this,or at all ever,at least not for three days, usually by the second day it is a full blown period, but not this time.
Any Ideas? Could it be an infection of some sort?

If your periods are usually every 28 days or so, then you are late.
If you have had sex, consider pregnancy. Light spotting in pregnancy is common.
If you using a hormonal method of birth control, then that can alter your bleeding pattern.
A brown discharge can be a symptom of some types of vaginal or uterine infections. But an infection would not cause you to miss a period.
Sometimes brown discharge can be from light bleeding from the cervix itself, if there is an inflamation on the cervix.
In case, it sounds like you need an appointment!

The discharge you are experiencing is normal. Think back to your last period, was it heavy at the beginning and last less than 7 days? Did it seem to be heavy for only a few days and seem like it slowed very abruptly? If this has happened a lot times the lining (the cause of the period) does not get fully expelled and will stay until the next period - alot of times that is what causes the brownish red discharge prior to your full period. Deuching doesn't always help after a period so you may experience this once in a while in your life time. Alot of times when your period duration is less than 7 days and is due to stress or enviromental conditions around you, this will almost always be the case on the following period. If you experience this more than 3 periods in a row - go to your doctor and tell them. High stress levels will cause adverse reactions in your bodys normal process heart, blood pressure, hormonal changes. Also if the discharge seems very dark (blackish brown) or you see some white discharge with it there is an infection present and see your gynocologist asap. Hope this was helpfull

Go to the doctor. We are not doctors on this forum. A brown discharge during and after or before your period is actually normal. You don't say how old you are, but if you are old enough to start going through the change (30-45) this is a symptom of that. If you are young (13-20) it just could be an infection. But only a doctor can really tell what is going on.

I see that only men had responded to this.. Not Good.. But what can delay a period is stress if you have been under a lot of stress lately than that can't stop the normal flow of your period. If you are on any type of birth control this can do this also. Then theirs also the concern of pregnancy you might be pregnant as well but to make it official make an appointment with your OB-GYN they can give you the answers you are looking for..

Hey, you are very lucky... it's not an infection it's probably because you have had a very low blood preassure, a very high physical activity, or stress. I have had the same problems a few time and my Gynocologist always told me how lucky I was, the only problem is that you might have hard time giving birth as I was told and a C Section can help at those times

You might consider a pregnancy test. I know that the entire time my sister was pregnant, she had the same thing. That's actually how she found out that she was pregnant. She went to the Dr. to find out what it was and low and behold, she was 8 weeks pregnant.
