Since the outbreak of the peanut butter scare and the more recent pet food scare, do you think that this could be the action of terrorists. I just wondering here. But, since there are so many people out in the world that still and always will 'hate' us, this needs to be looked at in my opinion. I've been contacted about possible litigation, since I did eat the type of peanut butter and did feed my cat one of the brands of pet food that was affected. If it was an act of terrorism, then lawsuits will become a mute point.

I'm not looking for answers here, just want everyone to explore what is happening around us in the world today. We need to sit back and reflect on topics like this before we react negatively. Personally, I didn't get sick and my cat didn't get sick, so I don't plan to enter any litigation.

I don't think the incidents you mentioned are the acts of terrorists, but it does expose the vulnerability of our food supplies to such acts. It wouldn't be at all hard to do to disrupt major food supplies.

First off--if you and/or your pet ate food that was recalled as being contaminated, you need to see y our doctor/vet even if you didn't get sick; you (both) could have sustained damage to internal organs (kidneys, primarily) that will have lasting effects and that will necessitate lifestyle/food changes. You both need to be checked out by qualified doctors.

As far as the terrorist thing goes--come on. We have enough "home-grown" (i.e., American) psychos here without having to football the blame to "those others." I mean seriously. Why not just throw up the idea that it's the fault of aliens from Mars? Or, you could take a look at the most likely cause--some American idiot who thought it'd be a kick to stir up some trouble. Look around you; there are plenty of people who fit that description.

Even though you are not looking for answer, I would just like to point out that people seem to look for terror too much these days. Every little things that goes wrong, and most people seem to start raving about Al Qaida, or the IRA, or White Supremecists.

I'm not saying that they weren't terrorist incidents, but accidents happen.

Sheesh.
Well, the Rajneeshi cult did carry out a biological attack in Oregon, the only one ever carried out on US soil. It was common food poisoning, and nobody died. The objective was to keep the non-Rajneeshi population from voting in a local election. It didn't work. The locals immediately suspected the Rajneeshis, and voted all the more.
