i tested two different acids with blue litmus paper
acid 1 had a much darker pink, and acid 2 had a lighter pink...does it mean acid 1 was a stronger acid than acid 2?

Litmus will not distinguish between strong and weak acids. What may have happened is that one of the acids was an oxidising agent, which partially destroyed the litmus dye, leaving it paler pink.

blue litmus paper is only used to identify a certain subtance if it is an acid or a base, the strength of acid or base can be measured using the pH paper, or performing titration. pH less than 7 means that is acidic, more than 7 means basic.
