I wanna say something. I'm gonna put it out there; if you like it, you can take it, if you don't, send it right back. Sensory deprivation/aural overload. Wait. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. I... no, definately sensory deprivation/aural overload.
what you do is secure the child to something firm, blindfold and gag them. now it gets interesting, what you do is then play a continuous loop of music very loudly either on headphones or not, whatever you personal preference is! do this until they have a deep subconscious love of music.

of course i'm just messing, music is a passion, you have to discover that for yourself, hopefully given the right kind of environment and musical exposure your child will discover their passion for music.

Make him feel that you enjoy music more than anything in this world. Slowly he will be okay with music and then interested. Never ever force him to listen to music, thats the main part. Hey...never quit.

let your child meet peers who are interested in music. the more he has friends who are musically inclined, the more he would appreciate and would want to be part of the musical world.

Don't force it!!!!!! You will turn them off to music. If you really are that worried about it than let them pick the music korn, lamb of god, slayer, nelly, DMX whatever they want to listen to.
If you try to force music on them they will hate it like to this day I still hate the beatles because of my dad making me listen to it.
I love music now but still am P.O. that my dad did that.

Just don't FORCE them into it. If they casually dabble in it or even show no interest, don't be offended. A lot of times kids appreciate things their parents wanted them to like more after they're grown.
