Has an ideologically based opposition to current levels of disproportionate over-representation minority groups in prison, thus would enact some form of 'Affirmative Action' to negatively discriminate against white offenders so as to level out the statistics?
In other words- she wants to put more whites in prison as she feels too many blacks and Hispanics are incarcerated, in her Democrat party's view?
I refer to a TV debate between a Dem rep (forget who sorry) and an Atlanta Republican rep (forget when).

I heard this report also. And as a former law enforcement officer, it shocks me. I think ALL criminals should be behind bars, regardless of their race. If you commit the crime, do the time. There should be no "balancing" acts when it comes to protecting the public. It's scary how this woman thinks!

Here in Britain in the 1970's and 1980's, Black people were frequently imprisoned for very minor offences for which a white person would simply have been fined or put on probation. In addition, Black people feeling that they have a special relationship with God (insofar as He talks to them in prayer) were often dumped in mental institutions rather than ordinary prison. Truly terrible things happened in America during the Civil Rights era - immense injustice, cruelty and savagery directed towards ordinary respectable Black people. However, the mass of people relocating to Britain from the West Indies from 1958 onwards were themselves given a very hard time whether by ordinary whites or by whites in positions of authority. Even as late as 1975 when I was in a genuine loving relationship with a WestIndian lady (I am white) people would stare at us as we walked together along the street. Clinton should not discriminate against white offenders. What she should do is have the cases against existing Black prisoners re-examined as I am sure there are many instances where the offender in question either does not belong in prison at all or has been given a much longer sentence than would have been given to a white offender. If there are any Black people still in prison as a result of Civil Rights activities in the 1960's and 1970's, they should be released on amnesty.

If what you write is true then Hillary is a nut case and should go to a funny farm to thaw out. You lock up those who commit crimes,,,,,,blue, white or black. The way the USA is going at this time we will have our prisons full of blacks and browns with just a small majority of whites by 2010. The reasons for this outlandish balance of crime is due to family, household values, no jobs, ignorance, don't care attitude, drugs. We are in for a very tough time.

Hillary will say what ever she thinks the group she is talking to wants to hear. If anyone was to check her an Bill's actual record with minority's they would find they did less than Bush. No one actually wants to check though. It is easier to believe that all Democrats are better to minorities than all Republicans. These people need to get a bullet in the head. Blacks are in jail because the commit crimes against other people; usually violent ones. It is not discrimination, it is a ply to get support from those races for the presidency. I am so sick and tired of politicians trying to play this "elect me" game I hope this whole government crumbles.

That's racist. It's bad enough that black people get free points in standardized tests and take the jobs of more qualified people simply because of their race.
