President Bush is far from stupid but is very ignorant. He hires people that only agree with him and when they disagree they go to the "highway". He has hired some good people and then led them on like a puppet on a string and they in fear of losing their jobs like the Generals did, did his bidding.

He is a "unilateral" leader in that he is the "decider" and it is tough if you don't like it.

But it is pay back time now. He doesn't like the position that he is in now facing a Congress that is talking for the people of our great nation.

He is blaming the Dems. for the "pork" that has been added to the war funds. Like the Repubs. haven't done that before.

Poor Mister Rumsfeld who is now residing in Tao's, NM is not getting a welcome mat by the residents and if I say so myself it is well deserved.

And Mr. Powell got a screwing too by Bush.

So now it is Gonzales turn.

I think he has extremely intelligent people as his staff, just not very wise people. Intelligent meaning I am sure they had the book smarts and experience to man their posts, but they were emboldened to an ideology that puts our security at risk. Because they are privy to information that the average person has, they needed to have the forsight make the wise decisions that would keep our country secure and prosperous. Instead, they pulled a, "Whoops, my bad" with the invasion of Iraq.

Depends on your point of view. I think being President is the most difficult job in the world because you will always have opposition pointing to faults of the government. George W. Bush is a competent man and I believe did his best to put people in positions of authority to help him run the country for our benefit.

Well I would think that his first choice would have been loyal competent cronies, but he would drop the competent part long before the loyal part. Would you really want dis-loyal competent people working for you?

Loyal, incompetent cronies -- of which Mr. Rumsfeld (aka Mr. Vietman) was the worst.

Haven't you been watching the news? George himself is incompetent, so why would he surround himself with people who were smarter than him?

He would be afraid that they would see him for what he really is--IGNORANT!
