I have a gold necklace that I never removed since my mom gave it to me. I want to know what will happen to it.

I have a Miraculous medal that I wear pretty much daily. I've had it for around 5 or 6 years, and I get it wet all of the time.

It is made out of gold and generally hasn't changed in appearance much. Although some parts appear to not be quite as shiny, it's not very noticable.

If it's real gold, you shouldn't have a problem getting it wet.

I don't know what kind of gold you have, but if you continue to wet it without drying the color may fade or on some jewelry it can actually appear like rust. If you want it to last positively, I would take it off before you bathe, I mean it could be something you just get used to. But if you feel that you need to keep it on, at the least you need to dry it off your best afterwards.

Nothing should happen to it if it's real gold. It might lose a little luster but that can be fixed by cleaning it in gold jewelry cleaner.

I've been wearing the same 2 gold chains for years, as well as my gold wedding band--never take them off to shower, and they are just the same as when I got them. Soap and water should have no effect.

Nothing, if you like the necklace and remove, put it in a safe place that you know no one will ever find out. (Except you) If you are superstitious then don't take it off.

Nothing. I would give it a polish and a good scrubbing with gold/jewelery cleaner every couple months or so, but nothing will happen to it.

Nothing if it's gold. Maybe some hard water stains but those can be polished away.
