Should the word gay be stricken from our vocabulary when referring to homosexuals.
Lesbians accept their descriptive word. Why not Homosexuals.
Let us always refer to them as Lesbians and Homosexuals.

The Flintstones sing - we'll have a gay old time.
The Scots have a dance called (for centuries) the Gay Gordons. Should we be the ones to change?

When i was growing up the word gay meant to be happy, so why not keep it this way, and have a gay old time.

I wonder how we would go about enforcing the ban on the use of the word "gay" to refer to homosexuals. I suppose we ought to have a language police force that roots out this usage which you find so offensive. Perhaps we should empower these people to get rid of all the foreign words in English, too, so that our language is unsullied by loan words from such other tongues as Spanish and French.

Here's another question that arises: if we call people homosexuals because they are attracted to people of the same sex, and lesbians are attracted to the same sex, aren't lesbians homosexuals? What happens when lesbians refer to themselves as gay women?

Please iron out this linguistic problems as soon as possible so the rest of us are able to speak as you would have us do.

Lesbians ARE Homosexuals. They say there's no such thing as a dumb questoin, but this qualifies.

As for the meaning of words, in my dictionary there are many different meanings to each word depending on the context used in the sentence. The meaning of gay hasn't changed, there is only another meaning that is also used.

I don't think it matters. Language changes all the time. And homosexuals use the word gay, so I guess they don't have a problem with it,

while i replaced right into a sprint woman my acquaintances and that i used to kiss and hug one yet another and talk approximately getting married while we grew up. Years later a number of those acquaintances have been brainwashed into believing it replaced into incorrect. yet on the grounds that each and every woman in my kinfolk is bi or lez I constantly theory it replaced into completely organic. to respond to your question, i've got confidence that each and each woman is born a lesbian yet many make the choice to grow to be rapidly. it must be an identical for boys too yet i might doubt it.

Personally I think that the word "straight" should be stricken from our vocabulary when referring to heterosexuals, because heterosexuals are the most bent people I've ever met.

War, rape, gangs, illegitimate children, broken marriages, divorce, George Bush, slums, welfare, discrimination, disease, violence, abortions, bad fashion sense = heterosexual activity.

theres alot of words that have different meenings to them. Gay is a lot easier and shorter to say than homosexual so which one do you think we will go by. I refer to homosexual men as gay and homosexual woman as lesbiens so it is not confusing.
