AFAIK, Hinduism creates hierarchy among Indians which is against Article 14 ie Right to Equality and parents preach their children to hate other children as per the above hierarchies.

Is this true?

I also deplore any other religion that does this.

Most common words spoken by a indian parent -

1> "Baant ke khao" - Share and eat
2> "Ladna boori baat hai" - It's wrong to fight
3> "Pyaar se rehna chahiye" - Practice love
And plenty such statements.

NO dear, Hinduism does not encourage such things. Hinduism is the world's third largest religion after Christianity and Islam. Hindus revere the Vedas and the Upanishads and consider these as being among the foremost in authority, importance and antiquity. Other major scriptures include the Tantras and the sectarian Agamas, the Purāṇas and the epic Mahābhārata and Rāmāyaṇa. The Bhagavad Gītā, a treatise excerpted from the Mahābhārata, is widely considered a summary of the spiritual teachings of the Vedas. Prominent themes in Hinduism include Dharma (ethics and duties), Samsāra (The continuing cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth), Karma (action and subsequent reaction), and Moksha (liberation from the cycle of samsara). The Caste System or varna-ashrama has been one of the most misrepresented, misinformed, misunderstood, misused and the most maligned aspects of Hinduism. If one wants to understand the truth, the original purpose behind the caste system, one must go to antiquity to study the evolution of the caste system. Caste System, which is said to be the mainstay of the Hindu social order, has no sanction in the Vedas. The ancient culture of India was based upon a system of social diversification according to SPIRITUAL development, not by birth, but by his karma. This system became hereditary and over the course of many centuries degenerated as a result of exploitation by some priests, and other socio-economic elements of the society.

Hinduism is the way to live
It preaches to respect every living / non-living being.
Castes were formed in order of professions followed through generations, which were later missused, but now are reformed.
We follow Vasudev Kutumbakam - treating whole world as our family.
Hindustan ( India ) never attacked or captured any other country.
Hindus never forcefully or lured any one to convert to be a Hindu.
We were the first ones to atain highest levels of spirituality & we still do & will always do so.

Dont go by the few misleading & underprivilaged faces that portray our religion in media. Our roots are strong, so are we.

Where did you get this Idea?? Hindu parents teach their kids to hate other kids??
My parents never told me to hate anyone, or for that matter I never heard it from any of my friends growing up that I they needed to hate someone. In fact it's just the opposite. I was kinda tall growing up and used to bully other kids and my mom would go after me with a broom because of it.

So in a way I did hate them for ratting me out. But that was it. The "hierarchy" that you are referring to is the caste system I think. Well I won't deny that it doesn't exist in India ( and it is a archaic tradition that people of all castes are trying to remove) but maybe you got your idea's about it listening to American/British media or books. In that case just remember blood and pain and misery sell better then flowers and kindness. Things are not what they were 4000 years ago when caste system was first formed ( although if you get your news/views from that media, I'd have to say all bets are off on how much dis information you've gotten)

This is absolutely wrong and doesnot have any base. In Hinduism there is concept of "Vasudhaiv Kutumbakam" - the whole world is a family. Hindu children are taught to respect even other religions also.

Don't blame hinduism for it , It is the mental level of the person how and what cultural values they will give to their child.
No religion teach to hate someone, but it is the human tendency to create the walls of haterate.
Pray to your almight to give such people patience, love for other religions and peace of mind.
You can't change the attitude but you can develop the enviornemnt which can keep you away from haterate.

Hindu children are taught the lessons of love, sharing, compassion , respect and humility from childhood. Never are they preached to hate, let alone other children, not even any other living being.
