I agree with you 100%.

There are many, many, many criminals in this world.

People, please realize that they are not all muslims. and a true muslim does not commit violence and instead must make peace.

Well why is america the great satan in many muslim countries? The thing here is that a lot of people are not educated about things. I do not think muslims are terrorists, but the comparison to rapists here is not fair. I do not see people in the streets supporting rapists, and idolizing them, yet in many places the terrorists are idolized as martyrs. Now I know that is our press showing us the stuff they want to show, but I am certain that if anyone went out in the street celebrating rapists, and child molestors, they probably would not last long.

I am well aware that the vast majority of muslims are good people and not terrorists, but there are a sizable number of muslims that do support people that kill innocent people and that is wrong. In the end, it is lack of knowledege on both sides. Many Americans do not see the troubles we cause the muslim world, and many muslims do not see that americans are not necessarily evil. So your tv shows children being killed by us soldiers, and our tv shows people worshipping osama, and screaming death to america. A lose lose situation

I can imagine you are feeling under a spot light right now, but I think the biggest reasons non-Muslims tend to lump most/all Muslims under the terrorist umbrella is that there are so few peaceful Muslims who publicly come out against the acts of the radicals who kill in your religion's name. The understandable assumption is that if you don't speak out against those acts, you must be for them.

You compare these acts to the psychopaths, killers, and rapists in other countries. Certainly they exist, but they aren't an organized group acting for a particular cause AND do you see the rest of the country ignoring...even approving of their acts? I'm afraid your comparison is pretty weak.

You want to change the hearts and minds of Americans and Europeans, then quit complaining about being picked on and organize your friends to speak out publicly against the radicals who are committing heinous crimes in the name of your religion.

It is not just a few of you that go nuts, it is thousands of you. If the Muslim world stood up and told the extremists that they were wrong, if you tried to stop them, we would understand. But when the World trade Center was destroyed, Palestinians, Iranians, Syrians cheered in the streets. Then told the UN we were bad guys because we stopped giving the Palestinian people the Millions of free dollars of aid we gave them every year. Just want it all don't you. If one of our soldiers treats a captive badly we convict them in a court of law. Your people say nothing about terrorists chopping the heads off our soldiers every time they capture one, or our journalists. We do not misunderstand you at all. We understand your too scared to stand up to the corrupt clerics that teach your kids to be suicide bombers, to chicken to denounce groups that kill your own because they disagree over religion, to cowardly to live with people that are different without tryng to kill them at night with a bomb. No we understand you, we just have no respect for you anymore. The Arabs countries were at one point in history the most advanced mathematically, scientifically and the most literate, now your just a third world nothing hiding under your bed from a Cleric that could care less about you.

The media distorts thing often and puts on television just pieces of the truth. Right now, because of 9/11, terrorism is at the top of the list as far as perception goes. If you want people to know you are a good Muslim, speak out and let the Americans know. Being quiet makes you suspect in such a scared US as we are.

I am an american, white muslim and I feel that people are really ignorant about Islam because everyone listens to the media and they do not research for themselves. there are american terrorist.... people who open gunfire in schools and workplaces... the ok city bombing.... the list goes on but the term terrorist is only used when it's speaking of muslims.... it would make a great difference if people would just educate themselves before voicing their opinions

I am sorry that so many decent Muslims are hurt by the current tensions. I am a white (European) American. In the weeks following 9-11, it was painful for me to see Muslims look at me with fear when I went into their shops. I don't believe most Americans hate Muslims, but many people fear what they don't understand. Fear often manifests as aggression.

Things may look bleak, but remember: America just elected a Muslim Legislator.

We need people like you to keep reminding us that most Muslims just want to pursue happiness like anyone else. I hope you will forgive people like myself if we make generalizations we really don't mean.

It was the shock and awe of the attack on 9/11 that threw the world for a loop.

An army without high-tech weapons were not supposed to be able to cause any significant damage to a nation with the most powerful military on Earth. The world has been traumatized.

Some forget that America's KKK terrorized Americans for decades, bombed churches, and assassinated people they didn't like. They are the US version of Al-Q.

To blame all Muslims for their extremists would be as sensible as blaming all White Americans for their extremists or all Black Americans for theirs. It makes no sense at all.

i not American or European, but people judge others by who they hang out with, so it,s like the world games, one person is representing every one from that country,if one person is bad they think all that has that race is bad even if it,s not true they are judging all muslims out of fear and anger. it,s because they don,t understand why they did what they did on 9/11/01but at less not all humans judge people. if you are nice to people then they should be nice to you.

I really think Muslims get a bad rap for 9/11. Seriously, it's not everyone's fault a few people went crazy. I understand saftey, but it doesn't matter what race or religion you are...you're just as likely to go crazy as anybody else. There are alot of domestic terrorists that terrorize their own country.

The above answer is very disturbing to me. I can't believe that we have people that still think that way in America. In Africa maybe, but not in a first-world country like America. I can guarantee that the person who made that post has never opened the Quran. And yet he confidently states that he understands everything. It's just sad.

Edit... I was referring to the answer 3 posts up... 2 other people posted in the meantime.
