People have strong opinions on this and they are certainly entitled to them; however, what you suggest is really not all that uncommon. Many couples DO experience a period of "experimentation."
But, the critical factor is whether or not they already have a rock-solid relationship; one not prone to feelings of jealousy, inadequacy, bad self-image or performance anxiety. The chances for problems far outweigh the possiblity for pleasure, but that obviously doesn't people from experimenting.
A couple should NEVER try this if they think it's going to "solve" some kind of problem in the relationship; it will likely only make it worse.
Many couples have some exciting experiences and then eventually return to their standard monogamous relationship.
As I said above, the "odds" are generally against you in this situation, but, that certainly doesn't stop people in other areas of "chance;" people find it perfectly acceptable to gamble away large sums of money at casinos and walk away with no guilt problems, so I just think that everyone needs to examine their "priorities" a little more as to what is "acceptable" gambling and what isn't.
My experience says that it seems to be more of an issue with the "stakes" than the "odds."

Everyone is different but a relationship is meant to be shared with only two people. Maybe you could rent a movie, role play and buy some toys.

not just no, but hell no! might as well just get divorced right away and start dealing with the mess before it get any worse (it must be bad or you wouldn't be looking to bring someone else into bed). It will destroy whatever is left or you relationship, and add alot of pain for both of you!

Nope, because that is one of those things that you cannot take back. It doesn't matter how exciting it seems before it happens, someone will get their feelings hurt after it's over and then the guilt sets in.
