Indian youngsters! Stop concentrating only on cricket, and try out other games as well. There is equal fun in many other games as well. Having only cricket to look forward to, that too once every 4 years is not good enough for a country as big as ours.
But the reality is, cricket is ingrained in us and we all love it. So, the only hope is to give importance (and get money and sponsorships) and fame to club-level games. There are a lot of good players, not just 11. I am sure even the club/state level games will be quite interesting, if only they have the appropriate media attention. Check out the football games which have such a huge popularity at club-level, and we can get to watch some match throughout the year.
I guess, all the true cricket-lovers watch the game for it's beauty and intensity, and not just to see some idols play. Taking the game beyond the 11.

Be objective...
INDIAN supporters are so bias and one eyed that you would still point out that after losing two games (Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) that India is the best team in the World because you have Tendulkar (the worlds greatest batsman) but not so good this WCC, and you are all constantly living in the History Pages of Indian Cricket
INDIAN Selectors are so heavily tainted with politics that they have their own agenda's when selecting sides. What a joke successful teams like Ireland and Bangladesh dont have the politics. They are driven by the strongest desire to succeed.
INDIAN Commentators are to smart for their own good. Gavaskars comments at Ponting in the end came back to haunt him...or maybe that was Hookes? Either way if you TALK THE TALK you better WALK THE WALK.
INDIAN ATTITUDE is wrong....to walk onto a pitch and feel that you dont need to work for the RUNS or WICKETS is a joke. This squad is meant to be professional sportsmen and all they have managed to do is embarass themselves with their lack of spirit....
INDIAN YOUTH...sadly India is missing quality fast strike bowlers. Who can put the fear in the batswmen with real pace and attack...you still rely on Seamers and an aging spin bowler...should these players do the honourabel thing and retire to allow the youth to come through India would be performing terribly. Remember what happened to Kim Hughes and how his band of players struggled for nearly 8 years before they started winning well that is all about to happen to India.
Back to the drawing board for India and hopefully some of the shine will be gone long enough for you to see the team for what it really is....aged, old and retiring....the INDIAN cricket team is the old dog on the block with no teeth...its growl is bigger than its bite...

Sack all the team and the selection board. Re-constitute the selection board. Re-select the team based on national level performance over the next 6 months-1yr-2yr based on points system which takes care of the recent form of the player rather that his performance 2 yrs ago. Till then stop all participation in international matches. A stand-in list should be prepared. After 1-2yrs the players who have been in this list consistently should be made a part of the Indian team.
When the new team is selected, that should be projected as the Indian team. The players who are in this stand-in list should be promoted when any player in the Indian team under-performs in an international match.

I would say, bring in some younger players, with lower profiles, ensure they are prevented from creating mass media identities and keep them focused on TEAM based cricket. The current squad play for personal glory, not each other. India also need to develop a much stronger bowling attack. They have simply proved not strong enough over the last year and a half.

The following points are which india lost the world cup are-:
1.dravid captaincy
2. greg chappel'coaching and his rudeness against indian fans and players
3.being over confident that they defeat bangladesh and bermuda
wall's captainccy shoul be immediately snatched and there can be some changes than can be made in indian team.i think that irfan pathan shoulb given a chance bcoz he took 3 wickets in practice match againstwest indies and against netherlands he streched our score to 300.he is a briallent all-rounder and harbhajhan is a waste.anil kumble is a brilliant spinner and he took 3 wickets in the only chance given to him against bermuda.the indian board should influence th poor people towards the sport who have ability to do well.

Remove all the senior players ( senior only by age it seems) and let the youngsters get a chance to show case their talent. That will also ensure that Ad companies who are spoiling the players by paying them for no great perfomance will automatically stop. Which will set the benchmark for performance pays and failure doesnt

Not completely. But some of them should hang up their boots and rest should be punished.
1.Sachin,Anil should retire from one dayers.
2.Pathan, Shewag should be asked to play domestic.
3.Patel must improve his fitness and bowl faster.
4.Harbhajan must learn to bowl in placid pitches.
5.Give chances to some others top domestic performers like Ranadeb Bose.
