I've seen quite a few Aussie pictures and I'd have to say my favorite is THE LIGHTHORSEMEN. It stars Jon Blake and Peter Phelps. It's the true story of the mounted infantry in World War I and their famous charge against Beersheba to capture the desert wells. Very colorful and exciting with an outstanding score by Mario Millo. Highly recommended.

Picnic at the Hanging Rocks
Muriel's Wedding
Moulin Rouge
Priscilla Queen of the Desert
Japanese Story
Would like to see Bootmen, Simply Ballroom. Then the movie in which Hugh Jackman plays a romance writer.

I love Australian Rules. It's about a small coastal towns football team. Basically about the racism that the indigenous players are faced with and there is a horrible tragedy that results from it. Leaving the white lead "blacky" in turmoil. It's amazing. soooo sad. I had to read the book in year 9. This film is a rare of example of when the movie is better than the book.

My favorite Australian film would have to be either Ned Kelly (it's kind of new) or this movie that I saw when I was a kid called The Man from Snowy River. I remember thinking how cool it would be to have that life.

I observed that two times mutually as pregnant (the 2nd time became hours before I went into labour) and it jogs my memory of being knocked up and depressing. i wish I by no ability see it returned! If there became this type of component, i'd vote for some Thorpedo porn. Than guy has length 17 ft, fa chrissakes!!! ;-)

I saw an Australian movie when I was a kid called "Fortress." It was about these guys in masks who kidnap a schoolmarm and her students - and the masks the kidnappers wore were the freakiest things ever.
I'd also like to second "Picnic at Hanging Rock" and "Walkabout."
