Erm... when has life not thrown me a blow? My most recent one is with my husband, though. He wanted a divorce and I ended up talking him into marriage counseling.
Life is full of blows. You just kinda have to stand up, brush the mud and blood off, and keep going.
My favorite philosophy in this reguard is: If life hands you a lemon, you have three choices: make lemonade, eat the lemon and learn from your mistake, or wind it up and chuck it with all your might back at the person who threw it at you.

Heck yes!
I have been looking forward to the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie all freaking week. I got my ticket, bought a T-shirt, went to the theater and the picture is skewed! It was like the whole thing had been through a taffy puller. I got up from the movie three times to get them to fix it. When they finally did it was already halfway through the thing and in fixing it they tilted the whole thing sideways. So now the movie is in correct proportions but tilted. The movie seemed cool and all, but I was too pissed off to enjoy it.

Small jabs really but they feel like big blows...I guess it is just a matter of perception and of the mood one is in. I have been feeling a bit down lately so even a prick feels like a blow these days to me.

I don't see it that way. God, Mother Earth, Mother Nature, Big Mama in the sky the great spirit. They have a bigger plan for me so any time life seems hard I see it as a test from them to make me strong.
