I hate to say I told you so. Way back in November on this forum I said India couldn't win this world cup.
Despite the apparent similarities of sub-continent and Carribbean pitches, they are not. In the West Indies the pitches are more variable, sometimes more lively, and much more subject to the effects of rain.
It was apparent 12 months ago when India lost a ODI series in the Carribbean that their preperations were of course, and they didn't adjust. At the end of the day, you have an incredibly talented batting line-up, but with over inflated egos, over confident, and reliant upon the backing of their home support. India fail away from home on an all to regular basis. They need to learn to work as a team, support each other better, and play for partnerships, not personal glory.
Also the bowling has been sub-standard for a while. They are good international bowlers, but not really a world class bowling line-up capable of running through classy batsmen. They proved it over the last year and a half, it was highlighted against the Windies and Australia in the DLF cup, and has been shown to be true here.
India need a complete restructure, and new approach, and hopefully for the good of the game in India it can be done in time for them to win the World Cup at home in 2011.

The reason you have seen it all. They can't bat, bowl, field well against a good team.

They just need to play with Bermuda, so they can score 400+ everytime. Even teams like Bangladesh can beat India.

Poor mentality- underestimating Bangladesh and finally crumbling against Sri Lanka in a crucial match. The captain and coach are not to blame

Poor captaincy
Lack of motive or even determination on the part of most players.
