How does a photographic camera work?

When you press the button, The shutter opens allowing light through the lense for a brief amount of time. The light exposes a piece of photographic film coated with a light sensitive emulsion. The greater the intensity of the light the more reaction is caused and an image is formed on the film. Of course there is a lot more to the actual operation of the camera but that is the basic principle.
