Cruise = 20 Km + 20 Km/h
Private = 25 Km/h
20 Km + 20 Km/h = 25 Km/h
20 Km = 25Km/h - 20 Km/h
20 Km = 5 Km/h
20 = 5 h
The private boat will overtake the cruise ship after 5 hours.
1360 Km at an average speed of 85 Km/h =
(1360Km)/(85Km/h) =
1360h/85 = 16 h

a) let the distance travelled by cruise ship be d1
then d1 = 20 (t1 - 0)
distance travelled by boat = d2
d2 = 25(t2)
but t2 = t1 -1
they will meet when 25(t1-1) = 20 t1
t1 = 5
t2 = 4 hours
Answer is 4 hours from starting at halifax
b) let both of them meet after t hours
then 80 t + 90 t = 1360 or t = 8 hours
They met after 8 hours
time in winnipef is 16:00 or 4 pm

the cruise ship will be even with the private in 4 hours
the first 20km shows as that the cruise ship left 1 hour already
20km+ 20km X = 25km X
20 = 5x
4= x

time taken by cruse ship=i hr
speed =20km
since the privete boat left after 1 hr
its speed=25km/hr
so i think after 1 hr they will meet
