I was 12 or 13 and I started using the good stuff and thats all I've ever used is Estee Lauder.I got my make up or Christmas one year all of it, it costed around 400-500 dollars and that was foundation and conceler and loose powder and pressed powder, eyeshadows and eyeliners and lip liners and lips stick and glosses and blush and mascare and BRUSHES those are very expensive. But I was used to wearing make up cause I was on the Pagentry Circuit. So when you go into pagents you starte waring make up at a young age, I was 2 or 3 when we first did make up on me. And I did pagents till I was 17. And I might do Mrs. Alabama later this year. But I think 12 or 13 is a good age for wearing it everyday

I don't think there's ever a "should" about it. I don't believe any girl or woman should wear makeup if she doesn't want to.
However, I think "experimenting" with cheap stuff, or your old stuff, is OK at whatever age. Well, maybe not until she's old enough not to get lippy all over her face (and the floor and the mirror and the walls and the ceiling and your favourite dress and her top and...)
I don't believe she should be allowed to wear makeup to school, friend's places, the mall, and places like that, until she's at least thirteen, if not older, but it isn't my decision to make, obviously.
I think it's OK to wear a little bit of makeup to special occasions (like a wedding or something), when she's younger than this, but please, keep it natural! And never before about age ten. It really wrecks kids' natural beauty when they're all made up.

Well , I'm only in the 7th grade and there are tons of girls already wearing make-up. When you look around , every girl is wear some make-up. If she looks and she doesn't get to wear make-up shes going to feel a little "out of the crowd" So ask her if she wants to wear make-up. If she says " I don't care" that really mean " Yes I do. I'm just to embarrassed to tell you " Trust me on that one. Every teenager will say " I don't care" to something that they want. We are just to embarrassed to tell our parents yes. There's a thought. Hope I helped.

I was wearing those cute little makeup sets around 5 and 6. with the lipgloss and the bluch and eyeshadow. but, now, considering i've become goth, and am now just at age 14. i do my makeup more seriously. i think that letting her doher own thing, will help her to become her own person, not who everyone else wants her to be. makes her more independant. i was only wearing makeup around the house at my really young ages, but when i was 11 and 12, i was wearing it to school, with foundation, powder, eyeliner, blush, mascara, eyeshadow, lip stick, lip gloss. but now, at age 14, i go with foundation, eyeshadow, liner, and a touch of clear or peach gloss. if i'm not wearing black. but just let her experiment. over the years i would do different things, and people would tell me if i was getting better at doing my makeup, or they would help me. it truely depends on how you want your daughter to grow up. but you also need to see that she will want more independence. but you won't want to give it to her. just let her wear some light pastel eyeshadows such as lilac, and pink. or even white. and light lipgloss such as peach, clear, or a dramatic color. i wouldn't reccomend eyeliner, mascara, or blush, foundation till about 13/ and teach her how to put it on. she will thank you for it i assure you. but remember, that is the future, think about her present time, what do you do?

In my opinion 16 is a good age or a junior in high school. You also want to tell her not to apply so much because natural beauty is more noticeable than trying hard and looking like a clown.

I was always allowed to wear nailpolish. When I was 12 I was allowed to wear it out with friends, but not to school. I actually didn't like to wear it then because I didn't really know what I was doing. I think I was in late high school when I wore it more seriously.

it should come gradually. my mom allowed me to start getting my nails done at the salon when i was 11. then she allowed me to start wearing CLEAR mascara and sheer lip gloss when i was 13. then she allowed eye-liner when i turned 16. and now that im 19 i can wear what ever i want (obviously) but ive grown so accustomed to my nearly-natural look that i barely wear make-up now. i add a dab of blush and a little bit of loose powder along with my eye-liner and mascara and i look so totally natural. i dont wear foundation or concealer or lip-stick, and because of that i dont have clogged pores or bad acne. i have my mother to thank for that because of the fact that she only allowed me to wear certain types of make-up
