not a catalog that comes by mail

it's an electronic download - sometimes opened by Adobe

sometimes there is no charge - sometimes there is if
has adult things in it - to prove your age

e means electronic as in E-mail etc so an E- catalog is a one which is distributed via mail or displayed on th net or any other electronic item such as a pda or something
