My husband and i have a 19 year age gap between us, i am 22 he is 41.(please refrain from inappropriate comments on the age gap, it is unnecessary.) We just got married a few months ago and have decided to get pregnant. I am wondering how long we should try on our own before consulting a professional. Or should we consult someone right away?

His ex wife had fertility issues, and they adopted a young boy together. he said at the time his sperm also had low motility, is that something that changes over time or does that stay the same?

First of all congrats on the new marriage!! It is true that the older you get, the harder it is to conceive. If your husband had sperm issues before and because he is over 35, I would suggest having him go in for a semen analysis test. This way you will not lose any time. My dr told me to try for a year and if no luck, then consult someone. I was 33 and my hubby 38. But since he had problems before, I'd make the initial call as soon as possible.

I'm uncertain if sperm quality can change. I'd think it could. My hubbys first 2 SA's came back as zero count and 9 months later he has sperm. I'm just not sure if the quality can improve with age??

Good luck!

Hi:) Despite all that you read about women's fertility declining with age it's just recently coming to light that fertility in men also decreases even tho they are capable of producing fertile sperm until they pass on.If he's had a problem in the past it may or may not have resolved itself, only way to know is to have a SA done.Even if his numbers come back low it's not impossible for him to father a child ,just may take longer. What Dr.s have found is that many of the men who had vasectomies because they did not want more children ,when having their post SA's done, was that they were not the greatest producers but still managed to have several children.I would say if you know he's had a problem before it couldn't hurt to have the SA done now. Dr probably won't do any testing on you until after a year but it never hurts to ask and get an opinion .Good luck and ton's of babydust:)

I don't see a problem get to work, and if there is a problem then make an appointment to consult a doctors opinion. The age difference will not be a problem, not unless it was the other way around. Just look at Madonna shes old and making babies...Your young and with the energy to have a baby...

41 isn't that old his sperm should still be healthy. just make sure you are both in good health and enjoy sex. I would say just keep trying for awhile some women try for over a year until they finally get pregnant if it doesn't work out or maybe you just get really impatient and want answers quickly then you should consult someone

that's a bowl shaped chart and as they're contained in the southern hemisphere it exhibits you to be very outgoing; your power is probably going projected yet you may look into the empty centre and attractiveness what's there. this can grant a feeling of something lacking out of your existence or you experience ignored of issues perchance and so which you always look on some variety of quest to locate this lacking component. The planet that is on the western tip of your brim will develop in power and have a relevance to you by some ability on your existence; this planet has greater power than usually linked with it. Ie in case you place your finger into the decrease empty area and flow it anticlockwise, the 1st planet you come back to is the lead planet on your chart.

me and my bf have a 14 year age difference (he is 39). I don't think at 41 there should be any problem yet on the mans part. If you are experiencing problems then it is not normal and should consult someone.

but just keep trying, it doenst happen on the first try always.

Don't get yourself all stressed up over it. Give it some time and don't try too hard, because the more pressure you put on yourself the harder it will be to get pregnant. Most of the people I 've known that was trying too hard, didn't get pregnant until they gave up on the idea and relaxed, and when they did this they got pregnant. Besides give yourself some time to enjoy the honeymoon.

hmmm.. this situation sounds kinda familliar. try to have the baby, congrats on the decision!! if it doesn't happen in a few months like 3 or 4 months then see a doc. you are young and very fertile most likely so it really shouldn't be a problem! have fun!!!
