Good Afternoon, would anyone who is wearing leather, cowhide, snakeskin, or drinks milk, eats cheese, chicken, or pork, or uses haircare, skin care, or baby care products please stand up? Each and every one of you are contributing to the widespread global issue of Animal abuse. Here's how: (If anyone is left sitiing....check their feet for sneakers, or ask them what they use for shampoos soaps etc...)

depends whether you're for it or against it. just shove loads of (made up?) statistics in it and make sure you put in the other side a bit so it doesn't seem like you are biased. so i dunno talk how about animal testing is possibly better because it's unethical to test new products or psychological theories on humans but then argue that animals have as much of a right to life as humans do or something :) play on emotions as well. because if people feel sympathy for the animals then it becomes more persuasive. so put in a real scenario like hunting/poachers. orrr using animals to test cosmetics :l you could even put in KFC cruelty to chickens, look it up the way they kill those chickens is well inhumane. haha i tried :) ..<3

1. animal testing benefits humans because it saves human lives, which are more important than animal lives. But sometimes it's just fun to do.

2. Animals have gone through millions of years of evolution, and their natural skin/fur supercede the most advanced synthetic materials in performance and looks. Sometimes it's just fun to hunt animals though.

3. Cows are sometimes given steroids to increase their growth rate. Many humans do this - and pay for it dearly with money and the wear and tear of their bodies. Cows don't have to worry about this though, because they are free and they will be eaten anyway before the side effects are seen.

When writing a debate speech, it's a good Idea, when starting a speech, to state the positive aspects of your argument and do not include any argument towards the opposing side. Pretend they don't even exist. not at first. Save that for later.
Just act as if your speech is the only one that matters.

Show pictures of really cute puppies.

It will at least put your teacher in a good mood and you'll get a better grade.

Why don't you try opening with humans being test bunnys insted. do the role reversal thing. Might get there attention better if they have to think about themselves first.
