I remember it vividly. It was in 1968. There was a McD's that opened about 6-blocks away from my house. I tried one of their $.13 hamburgers and an order of $.25(?)fries.

I remember the cost of the burger because there was a mom and pop burger joint 2-blocks from my house that sold $.15 hamburgers. Those $.15 hamburgers were noticebly better than McD's. The shakes were made with ice cream, I think they were $.45.

Unfortunately, the mom and pop shut down, apparently from the competition. I guess everybody liked McD's because it was all new and you knew what to expect when you got there. I sure hope it wasn't because of the $.02, though gas was around $.28/gallon back then, too. The bus was $.15, $.25 for adults.

So, yes, I remember the first time I tried a McD's hamburger. I've held on to the resentment for nearly 40-years now.

Yes, it was in the early 1980's. My family did not have much money, so I was about 6 years old when I first ate in a McDonald's restaurant. Our Wednesday night church group would go there and our preacher would pay for me and my brother a "Happy Meal". My kids are more fortunate than I ever was at a young age. They don't know what it is to not be able to eat out.

My parents never ate fast food. So the first time was when my friend's mom took her and I out after a movie, probably when I was about 8? My friend knew to order a Happy Meal, and I had no clue what one was! My friend said just get the Happy Meal. I remember thinking it was so good!

Of course then I went to college and ate McD's all the time. Thank God I don't anymore, or maybe twice a year.

Yes, I was about 7 years old, what I remember most was when my dad allowed me to get my first Big Mac, I thought it was the greatest hamburger ever, now I can't stand it, But the thing that keeps me going back has to be the French Fries, they are the best especially when they are right out of the fryer with extra salt - yum

Yes I remember it clearly, and I was 3. I went with my uncle Robert. He bought a big mac french fries, and a coke. that's when the cups were foam cups, and the containers that the big macs were put into were brown, and Styrofoam. The straws had a yellow stipe down one side, and red one down the other. I remember it was the first time I ate french fries from there.

My earliest memory of McDonald's was when I was younger than 10, but that wasn't the first time I was there. I was already familiar with the menu by that time.

I won't go again, it's McDisgusting.

Yes. My dad used to take my sister and I there back in the 1960's. The only thing they really had then was hamburgers, cheeseburgers, french fries, and Cokes. Nothing like it is today. Actually, it was kind of better, the service was quicker and cost a ton less!

Yes it was after going to KFC. And it was a very poor burger but they have improved here in Australia.
