I want to say this: (and to spell Cho Schoci correctly)

I believe that my experiences have given me some insight (Cho Schoci) to the traditions and customs of Japan.

Does this translate as a clever jab at my own statement? or would Japanese people think it was silly to say?

Hope this helps!♡
*I'm not really sure what you're trying to say by 'cho sukoshi'??
In my opinion it's best to keep it simple though.
'Insight' is 'ganriki' ( 眼力 : がんりき )

Hmmmm, hope I've helped.

Here is a translation of what you want to say:

Watashi no keiken wa, nihon no dentou to shuukan wo rikaisuru tasuke ni natteiru to omoimasu. Chou sukoshi dakedo ne.

In the words I wouldn't really call it a "clever jab" but it does add a little humor to the statement. But whether or not it is taken to be silly by Japanese people or taken to be a flash of good natured humor all depends on your delivery. Especially your timing and intonation of the "Chou sukoshi..." part.

Good luck!

By the way, is this for a speech, or a report? I was assuming it was for a speech. Also, don't worry, I understand what you are trying to say in your statement, and by the word "insight". It is NOT "ganriki". The nuance is totally different.
