i have been on subuxone. it 100% works for opiate withdrawl. i'm not sure if it is available in canada.

well... the issue is you're trading one for the other. There are two schools of thought on treating withdrawl with other medications like this. Make SURE you go to a doctor that is board certified in addiction, they have a lot of laws on how many pills a general practitioner can dispense. they will prescribe an amount then ween you off slowly. I think it's worth a shot if you believe that you are becoming more addicted to the subutex or suboxone, then you need to enter a rehab program with more strict protocols. good luck.

I haven't heard much about how successful it is for opiate withdrawal, but considering what it is, and the long half-life (about 36 hours), it sounds promising.

I know you can get it from an *online* Canadian pharmacy, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's legal to have it in Canada. The last I heard, they were not prescribing it there.
