India is a nation who has given every thing to its people after independence but it is our rulers after Independence who has broken India into several pieces to retain their Chair.

What has India given me? Nothing but trouble, corruption, casteism, nepotism, and what not. It was better off under the British. At least there was fear of authority then. Now, its the age of the gun. Unless you have a gun in your hands like the maoists or others, nothing can be accomplished. And our leaders talk of peaceful discussions and all that nonsense. Its all eyewash. India will never become a great nation if it continues under this kind of attitude. Reservations, subsidies, concessions should be taken away and equal opportunities given to all and sundry. Merit should be recognised and not recommendations. But in democracy, can we talk of these things. In short, democracy doesn't suit India.

After the late President of the USA, KENNEDY, was murdered, the following statement, purported to have been made in his famous speech, was inscribed on the slab cover of his cemetery:
ASK NOT WHAT THE COUNTRY HAS GIVEN YOU ... ASK WHAT YOU HAVE GIVEN TO THE NATION .......
This holds good not only for the US but is appropriate to all peoples all over the world - we in India not excluded.
This writer is, in fact, highly dejected that our own Government is encouraging the TOTAL NEGATION OF THIS VERY ESSENCE OF PATRIOTISM, by not only PRAISING THOSE WHO HAVE REJECTED OUR LAND AND SETTLED ELSE WHERE IN THE WESTERN WORLD, but by OFFERING THEM VARIOUS FACILITIES ON A PLATTER - even inasmuch as our villagers and millions of destitutes are struggling to make a living. Take for example, a SMALL ECONOMIC TRANSACTION THAT AFFECT MILLIONS OF POOR PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY:
When we have to make a DD payable to some one in another place, we stand in a long queue for a long time and remit the said amount + a so-called Bank Commission to the staff in the bank in question, where the staff draw out the DD and pass it on to us, so that we could send the same through Post. Thus, we bear the Commission cost + the Postage cost. Now, if we do this transaction through either the NET or through Credit Card payments, hardly any EXTRA amount is charged. THE FACT HERE IS THAT WHEREAS 100% OF THE POOREST PEOPLE CAN NEVER SEND MONEYS THROUGH THE NET/ THROUGH CARDS, THE HIGHER STRATA OF PEOPLE CAN UTILIZE THE FACILITY. DOES IT NOT AMOUNT TO OUR SYSTEM BEING DISCRIMINATORY IN THAT " THE POOR MUST PAY BUT NOT THE RICH"?
There are many such cases of DISCRIMINATORY PRACTICES THAT RELEGATE THE POORER SECTIONS AND MAKE THEM ACTUALLY PAY MORE. This aspect is presented into the scheme of answering the questioner in view of its relevance - the question must be modified:
AFTER INDIA BECAME INDEPENDENT, WHAT IS IT THAT THE EDUCATED AND THE RICHER SECTIONS OF THE SOCIETY PROVIDED TO THEIR POORER NEIGHBORS? And incidentally, the number of the poor and their problems are continually increasing to un precedented levels that they continue to live in squalor, filth and with no sight of any solution to their problems. The NITHARI murder case and the just occurred Killing of poor people in West Bengal through indiscriminate Police firing are examples.

Gandhi did spend greater time in South Africa than India! in accordance to Encyclopedia Britannica, "Gandhi persuaded British to give up India"! inspite of the undeniable fact that, Gandhi and his followers did no longer pursue undesirable adult males to give up South Africa! So, the WW2 made Europeans broke. hundreds of thousands of experienced and armed Indians (Bangladeshis, Indians and Pakistanis) replaced the stability of skill. on the tip, the British needed a negotiator to give up India until now being kicked out! Gandhi became that negotiator.
