divide 10 to both sides:

it would then give u a result of:

this cancellation method could be used in most of the math problems...

when you have questions like this, you can perform operations on both sides to isolate x. (get x alone on one side), so in this case, if you divided both sides by 10, you would get:
80/10 = 10x/10
8 = x.
You can perform almost any operation to both sides of the equation and the equality will still be correct.
