1. mataphase, anaphase, telophase..... in prophase it is in chromatin state.

2. these amino acids have positive charge on them.. thus histone is basic that bind to negetively charged DNA (due to phosphate group) to make neutral chromosome(no charge on it).
3. in the process of evolution eukaryotes comes from prokaryotes. eukaryotes are more complex that directly propertional to their genetic make up, they have introns. the complexity of proteins found in eukaryotes..

2. i think this is because lysine and arginine are methylated on the histone and this lets it bind DNA tightly
3. i think this is because eukaryotic chromosomes are monocistronic and 1 msg codes for 1 protein. so they have larger genomes. whereas bacteria have many start sites and their coding sequences overlap
viruses use their host cell machinery-- so they wouldn't need to encode that many genes in their own genome.... they can just use the host's

I think that chromosomes are easiest visible in metaphase - at least this is phase where photos of chromosomes are taken for karyotype. But they begin being visible in prophase.
