Back in the 18th and 19th centuries 21 was generally an old maid age.
Now I say it's probably 40 years old.
That's around the time marriage and baby making prospects dimmer.

Age is just a number. I feel a woman should get educated and not marry before the age of twenty five after 25 they seem to change drastically ( in a physical way ) 30 is good age to marry and have children up to 40 yrs old so I think most would say that 40 years old would be the age of calling a woman without children and never marring would be an old maid. But for me 40 yr old women are just starting to reach their prime and an old maid would be 73 yr old!

In Gone With The Wind, India Wilkes was 20/21 and she was considered an old maid.

When they think they are too old to be in the game. Just lost one recently. She was so much an old maid she didn't know how to even hold hands and even though she was totally hot she thought she was to old for sex. What a waste

In Alabama it is anything over 14. Every where else it would be between 45 and 55. That's just a guess from all the talk I heard growing up.

the age when they can't do anything and can't have kids anymore. When its a point in there life when they dont have fun and they dont go anywhere..its depends on the life style that person has.
