Pro. I currently have a civil union but I hate that title. Gay, straight, anyone who is a consenting adult should have equal rights. Even if a person doesn't agree with homosexuality, how does gay marriage affect that person's life?? It doesn't. And not allowing marriage is not stopping gays from being out there, it's not stopping gay relationships, so what does is the point of hindering it. Because some people believe it shouldn't occur. If you don't believe in it, don't marry someone of the same sex. (You is not directed to the author of the question, but just in general)

Pro

Legal Marriage is a contract between two adults. To deny legal marriage or define it as between only those of opposite gender is clearly a violation of "full faith and credit," gender discrimination and discrimination based solely on sexual orientation...and has NO PLACE in our legal system!

If any specific church or religious organization wishes to deny recognition or to sanctify such unions, that's fine. It's LEGAL Marriage that's being argued over.

We're tax paying citizens and deserve full faith and credit under the Constitution.

I am all for it. I have a brother who has been gay for over 20 years, and he's been with his partner now for going on 14 years. I am straight and still love my brother and his partner is a great person also. As long as they want to live and love together.... why not let them marry !!

Pro! Why, well my bf and I have decided to tie the knot in the next few weeks. And we are not doing it in a church, because I'm not Christian, so all the Christians can relax.

i think that same sex marriage should be allowed we are the same as heterosexuals we love and feel for each other the only difference is that we can't have baby's. If the reason that it is unmoral for same sex marriage is the fact that we can't have baby's then is it unmoral for a straight couple to get married if neither one of them can't create a baby.
