srk cannot act. commercially he is popular but his roles are all practically the same, his characters with the same attitude--he cries, is arrogant, get what he wants, and stutters. when he came down to a concert here in the US, he was just as arrogant as he is in his movies. he's not an actor. he has no versatility and he doesn't have to play characters much different from who he is in real life anyway.
(i have an unexplainable love for akshay kumar so i guess i can understand how people like SRK without any real reason. )
amitabh bachchan was the best, back in the day.
paresh rawal is the king of comedy. rajpal yadav takes second. no one else can compare.
today, i think abhishek and saif ali khan have great acting potential and also have a range of roles that adds to their credibility.
