i just got a pair of vans slip-on. they are very comfortable, except when i start walking. the back rubs against my heel and it becomes really painful.
will it eventually go away? if so, about how long will it take? what do you think will stop the rubbing in the meantime?
and also, what clothes go with the slip-ons? these are my first pair so i don't know what clothes to pair them with.

.. Are you wearing socks? Don't worry about it, they're always uncomfortable at first. It takes awhile, but not too long.. Sorry I don't remember the approximate time. Once you break them in, they're supercomfortable and you'll never want to take them off! (But if you do, it's quite easy). I have 2 pairs, polka dot and checkerboard. I just wear them with jeans and stuff.. They also don't look bad with shorts, if you wear low socks.

The more you wear the vans, obviously the rubbling is going to continue. It may take some time to heal, but in the mean time try putting a bandage over your heel when your wearing shoes.

are ypu wearing socks? if not wear thick but thin ankle socks. and whatever colored vans you have just wear some cute jeans with a shirt that matches the shoes. skinny jeans would be best with vans

your heel may be too small for the shoe. the are designed for people with wider feet. buy moleskin and put it on your heel and the inside of the shoe to reduce the irritation.

i would get new shoes. exchange them.
