set your timer for 15 min, and do just 15 min of pick-up-and-put away. you can do 15 min! put your favorite shake-it-up music on and see how much you can get done in that time. don't obsess with getting things perfect, just get a path cleared and counters cleaned off. GO!

now, sit for a minute, drink some soothing brew, and see if it's not SO much better. in a few more minutes, do just one more 15 min sprint. this time go for laundry and toys. ready? GO!

don't forget the music! get your booty shaking and maybe your husband will join in the race!

hugs,
cryllie

I have trouble staying away from the computer, so I set a timer for 10 minutes, clean as much as I can in the bathroom, then go back to the computer for 10 minutes. Then set the timer and do the hallway, back to computer, then the next room, etc. So I get stuff done and "reward" myself in between. So much easier and less overwhelming.

Blast some music and reward urself when ur done cleaning. Yea it is easier 2 clean someone else's house, reorganize and move furniture so the place looks diferent it may help. When ur done pamper urself. P.S. - u burn calories when u clean, maybe that could be a plus

Just imagine that your mother in law just called and said she was going to drop by for a visit. Or imagine that Publisher's Clearing House will show up at your door with a camera crew and a big fat check. You would not want the entire country to see your dirty house on TV would you? Of course if they really do show up with a big fat check you can just hire a cleaning company to do it for you.

Visit a few of your cleaner friends' houses or go on vacation. When you return from the clean environments, your mess will seem unbearable.

is it time to start weeding out stuff? excess plastic kitchen containers? kids clothes? your clothes you can never wear again? out of style shoes, purses, jewelry? have a yard sale or donate to a good cause, the less junk one has the easier it is to organize . and the rooms feel so much bigger, freer and you will feel light. Im going to get rid of half of my clothes this weekend, way too much stuff. hugs.
