I am a student of BCS and used to teach computer programming, designing and database development. I could speak frankly without any hesitation. Now I don't know what happened to me. I suddenly lost my confidence to speak in front of people. My heart sinks down and it begins to beat rapidly and my tongue stuck. All this is driving me crazy. Please explain why it happens and how to prevent it. bcoz it will destroy all my hopes for a future career.

Somehow you have let doubt creep into your mind. If you can identify what caused that doubt, that will help you solve the problem. But, you most likely can't remember. So, I would say that you need to try and speak to smaller groups as often as possible to help you regain your confidence. Then as you feel your confidence coming back, go to bigger groups. The devil is the one who wants us to doubt ourselves. You need to force any doubtful feeling about yourself performing in front of groups out of your head. Don't allow yourself to entertain any feelings of self doubt. Also, pray for the Holy Ghost to be with you to calm your spirit. On the physical side of things, taking some lobelia tea before speaking might help. It is a nerve relaxent. You could be having an adrenaline reaction if you are reaching a point in your life and health of your body that your adrenaline is being overworked and is not functioning correctly. This is caused by a dirty bowel and eating too much sugar. A natural bowel cleanse might do wonders to calm your heart. I would suggest looking up Dr. Richard Schultz for some physical help.

I'm no expert, but to gain confidence, I would suggest that you take some sort of a physically active class. You could try kickboxing, karate, gymnastics, etc. I would especially recommend kickboxing because it has the ability to make you feel very empowered! Not to mention it feels good to hit and kick when you are under pressure, or have pent up aggression. Also, always remember to surround yourself with people who are confident enough with themselves that they are comfortable encouraging you to do well and speak your mind when necessary!!! Don't ever trap yourself in a situation where everyone is trying to put you down and tell you you are not good enough. Remember that all individuals have something to offer others, and that includes you my dear. I don't know if this was the answer you were looking for, but I hope it helps.

so u r a teacher

sometime it happens dear don't worry.

so there could b two reasons

one may b you r comparing yourself with someone

or may be you r thinking too much, that u cannot teach well to your students

just tel m one think dear confidences lies with in us

n why u think that ur heart is sinking and cn not speak well.

it is just in your mind

so when every u go to any class just remember this

"I CAN DO IT"

"I WILL DO IT"

" I AM THE BEST"

"GOD IS WITH ME"

"WHAT KNOW I WILL TEACH THAT"

SO dear keep it up

remember you r a teacher. a guru so don't feel too low just be confident

just close your eye and see that you r speaking very well in front of your students

im not much on public speakin either but it helps me to just think of somethin happy that youve done or would like to do and since ur a teacher you should know what ur talkin about right so you shouldnt be at a loss for words in your field of knowledge. just dont worry bout ppl thinkin ur wierd or anything. just do what you get paid to do and thats talk and teach. i am in acting and modeling an such so sometimes i have to do a little public speakin so i just say what i got to say in my own style of sayin it and i dont care what ppl think . im still gettin paid right? Suck It Up honey its not that bad. I know you can do this. Hope this helps you
