Not necessarily. We should be thankful to I.T.industry for the livelihood it is providing to thousands of youth. To day there is no recruitment to govt service. We should depend on self effort and I.T.industry provides a lot of scope for self employment. This in turn builds a huge supporting network which again provides livelihood to many unqualified people. I.T.professionals need not discard traditional values and traditional culture. On the otherhand they can promote these values in their own circles.

to days youth know what they want in life. it is true untimely work hours can cause health hazards. and more money in youth can make one heady. this risk is there in every job opportunity. but every one settles down after a speedy start and a jerk. once a person reaches a saturation a slowing down process will take place. when it comes to traditions and values it depends on family background, upbringing by the parents. in any crowd at the religious places we find more youths. we find more and more youngsters going on a pilgrimage to Sabarimala every year.

In life there are alwuys pros and cons.It is up to us to take the best that life has to offer and refrain from getting lost in bad ways. The IT and BPOs have resulted in huge employment oppurunities and additional income to our youth. No doubt about it.But the youth must take care not to idle away the excess money by way of partying, boozing etc. They must realise the family values and culture and stick to it.As regards the timings, the employees must learn to take care of themselves by taking rest in the morning hours, exercising etc. They must realise their limits regarding work and must not push themselves too far.Thet should know where to draw the line between money and mental peace.

IT industry and BPO,call centres are not providing any professional expertise to be followed throughout t he life;moreover the same take away the precious years which are to be engaged to develop professional expertise.Enough money at the prime period of life takes away the peace and prosperity of the stable-life.

Yes I join your argument.. IT industry especially BPo is disturbing the sleeping pattern of an indiviual.. It is also found that most of the couples of IT industries get divorced.. Our culture and traditions are also spoiled

You're preaching to the choir there, Sunitha. We hate all the Indian call centers just as much as you do. It sucks trying to explain a complicated situation to someone who has only a feeble grasp of the English language. Just imagine if you called customer support for one of your Indian companies and I answered the phone, and could barely speak your native language.
When I call my bank's customer service line, I would much prefer to speak with someone whose native language is English. But you're right, it's all about the money. My bank can save a few bucks by outsourcing their call center to India, so they do it, and they don't bother to ask their customers if they like the idea, because they don't care about what the customers want. They only care about how many millions of dollars they can save.
If you feel that our call centers are ruining Indian culture and wish they would just go back to where they came from, I'm all for that. You and I want the same thing, albeit for different reasons.
