Well it could be lots of things if it was sudden. I can't imagine she isn't sleeping at ALL, as that is pretty impossible, so I'm guessing she is just having very sporadic sleep patterns (not on a schedual) and not sleeping for long periods.

I would start to see if there have been any major changes in her sleep enviroment (new bed? new room?)

If not have there been any changes in her diet (have you switched to formula from nursing, switched formula brands, or tried to introduce rice cereal?) If so, go back to the old. Make sure she is not constipated. If so give her some water to drink in the day. (not to much she still needs her nutrition, try 1/2 cup- 2/3rds)

If its neither of those you may want to try some infant gas drops if you think that may be the culprit or a more active routine during the day, and a little extra love. At 3 months infants are starting to become more aware of being alone and also becoming more aware of things going on around her. She may jsut want ot know whats going on. Also infants dreams becoem more active, she could just be a little scared and need an extra hug or a back rub. If it is really sudden also be sure to check with your pediatrician to be sure its nothing serious.

She might have gas, make sure she has a good burp after you feed. The other thing that worked for all three of my babies was to not let them nap through the day from about 4 p.m., depending on when you'd like to put them to bed for the night. I liked bedtime to be around 7 or 8, so I'd say no napping for 3-4 hours before bed for a baby that age, and if in a week she still doesn't sleep at night, then make it for 4-5 hours. I know people say let the baby sleep whenever they want to, but you need some sleep too. Give baby baths and cuddles to keep them awake pleasantly.I bet this will work. PS: I really doubt it would be colic because colic goes AWAY at around three months, it doesn't start then. Good luck!

Hi, I have 4 kids and they've all went through their nights/weeks of not sleeping like they should. My youngest is 4.5 months old and we are going through this very thing. The non-sleeping usually has to do w/ growth spurts and the fact that your child is learning new skills.3 months is prime for sleep interruptions due to the reasons I listed above.
Try to be patient, realize your child is developing and she will begin to sleep again soon.
Good luck!

make sure she's eating right and burp her to release excess gas.Change her diaper and cuddle her with warm clothing nice and snugly they like to feel very secure. You may want to bathe her before putting her to bed. What works very well is boiled lettuce but make sure you clean and wash the lettuce very well when the water is nice and warm add it to the water your using to give her a bath and you'll see how this will put your baby to sleep for the rest of the night. The lettuce relaxes the body and the muscles and this was a remedy I would use for my baby and it works. my hubby's grandma told me about it. She was a health nutritionist a very well known one of course shes old now but still living.
good luck!

get useto it my kids scream the whole night and wake me every 4 hrs. I have 5 and I'm pregnant with #6. I have a 7mo old and to get her to sleep feed her a warm bottle and burb her rubbing her back in a circular motion whispering and talking in a soothing, soft voice. I also but on something boring and less stimulating for us on TV. Try giving her a bath and giving her a massage while talking to her and make sure you use warm towels all else fails swaddle her. let her cry it out and invest in a pacifier

Make sure the normal stuff is not bothering her, diaper, bottle, pacifier. If these things are not it, she may be teething. Go to your local department store and get teething tablets, moisten a few with your tongue and put them in baby's mouth. No guarantee for your child but that and infants Tylenol helped my son sleep very well.

Check for signs of teething. Any of the following: Drooling alot, chewing, objects in mouth, diarea, low fever, rash on cheeks. If she is teething it is common for babies to hav trouble sleeping. My son just started sleeping and his leep schedule is all messed up now. The bet thing is to try to stay ith your normal routine. Try tosoother her gums while you put her to seep. (ect. my one likes to chew to chew safter i breast fee for the last timeof the night, i put a little formula in a bottle and let him chew on that nipple and he will usually fall sleep) you can try a damp washcloth or teether also. If she's not teething then sorry I'm not sure what else it could be.

Try low static from a radio. That sometimes works. OR find a way to very softly vibrate the crib. There is something you can buy that you put below the legs of the crib that will vibrate it a little bit.
