If you use a vaporizer, its actually good for your lungs.
I'll be honest, every once in a while i'll take a hit. Nothing addicting about it to me. I think addiction is in peoples heads. Like for cigarettes, people say the nicotine gets addicting and thats why they can't quit, but that a load of bull sh*t. If you say your goin to quit, then quit. Nuff said.
Pot makes you stupid. Its funny, but if your a smart person, you'll hate it the first time. Afterwards u get used to it and you become able to think better when high. But you still feel stupid. You get thirsty quick. Hungry, etc...
Pot is not bad for you. You might smell bad and stink up your place but thats about it. Helps glaucoma victims, anorexics. It boosts your immune system too so you don't get sick as often. It DOES however dry your skin/face, get that 'older' person look which is kinda bad for young girls i think, (of course thats only if you do it often).
Its illegal yea, but lets face it indians were burning up WAAAY before white man came and put laws around it. To me its not illegal, i think the government had its own agenda, etc... Basically, just don't get caught.
If this is all a peer pressure thing heres something that I think you should do. Follow your heart, i mean really. You don't have to do anything in life if you don't want to. Peer pressure is all in the head. Once you can conquer peer pressure, you'll go on to conquer other obstacles in life... Be strong, stay away from bandwagons. They're fake and lead to nowhere. I was often pressured to do pot in high school, but i never did. The first time i tried pot was in college and it was by choice, not pressure. Pure curiosity is all. Its ok to say NO to friends. If they're real friends they'll understand. They'll get over it. Just go w/ your gut. You'll know what to do.

It just makes you lazy and lose interest in the real world. If you like it, it is addictive. It is bad for you. The smoke goes into your lungs just like cigarette smoke. Even if people tell you "it's natural" tell them so is tobacco. It's the additives and the foreign substance (smoke) in the lungs that will kill you. Plus, no matter what people say it does lead to other drugs. Once you start with that crowd you meet others who ask you to try something else and you'll think, well, the pot was harmless so how bad can this be? Believe me, it only gets worse. You sound young. You need to concentrate on your education and pot or any drug does not allow you to do that.

Don't listen to the person above. With the "you are stupid" stuff. You are not stupid. It sucks being under pressure but you have to decide if you are willing to risk the possibilities of you turning into a Dirty pot-head.
Yes it's bad for you.
No it's not that addictive.
But I know it's a hard decision. Do you feel you would do it for your social status? Thats a big NO.
People on pot normally will think they are the life of the party but you don't wanna be ick like them?
When you said they were "ick" they probably thought they were the coolest person in the world.
Also think about your grades hun.
Just thinking about pot after you've done it could make you impaired. It's like all mental.

Ick?! Who U kidding? It's not ick to U. Your'e going to want to fit in. "Only 1 is addicted." Hello? Hello? Any one home? U need a reason not to? Go to or get on a county web site if your school hasn't already instructed you (did U cut that day?). The leaflets will tell U the story. Is your government telling U this to be MEAN to U? Any foreign thing in the lungs is bad for U. This alone makes it not worth while. Pot slows the learning process (hence, the word,"DOPE"). Just when you should be taking in knowledge to build your future!
The strong ones are the truly cool ones. Try it and see.

I used to smoke everyday for almost 3 yrs and now i have stopped. Generally marijuana lasts in your blood for about 3- 6 months. So even if the cops caught you, a simple blood test will prove you're innocent. But make sure you are clean on getting caught from peddling drugs.
The following are some of the common physical effects of marijuana:
* Tremors (shaking)
* Nausea
* Headache
* Coordination becoming worse
* Breathing problems
* Increased appetite
* Reduced blood flow to the brain
* Changes in the reproductive organs.
You should check out some of the photographs of diseased prople coz of smokin marijuana. They have bleeding gums, cavities all over their teeth, Dialated pupils.
What are the long-term effects of Marijuana use?
People who smoke marijuana often have the same respiratory problems as cigarette smokers. These individuals may have daily cough and phlegm, symptoms of chronic bronchitis, and more frequent chest colds. They are also at greater risk of getting lung infections like pneumonia. Marijuana contains some of the same, and sometimes even more, of the cancer-causing chemicals found in cigarette smoke.

Wow, U sound like me when I was 13. I was against it, then started doing it, that led to coke, and that led to heroin. (I'm NOT saying that happens to everyone, some people can smoke it and never do another drug in their life, but I haven't seen it.So, thats just my story and what I saw happen to my friends also.)
As far as it being addictive, it's really not PHYSICALLY addictive, (neither is cocaine) it can be MENTALLY addictive. U could smoke it, like the way it feels, and want to feel like that all the time and boom just like that your smoking every day. That's the addictive part.
It CAN be bad for you say if your driving and really high, your judgement is impaired and you could wreck, and kill someone. Studys haven't shown that it's bad for your body. But it could be bad in alot of other ways, problems at school, with your parents, it can and does lead to using other drugs, the list goes on and on!
If you are in a house and someone gets busted for the pot they have in the closet (even if you aren't smoking) you can go to jail for possion, it's the cops decision, but you can. Or if you are in a car and it gets busted, your very likely to go to jail.
What I hear you saying is that you really don't approve but you want to be like your friends. I was the same way, popular, cheerleader, the whole thing, started smoking pot to be like my friends, then my friends started snorting coke cuz the pot high wasn't enough, then they started doing heroin to come down from the coke. I'm 29 years old. That started when I was 13. I did heroin at 18. I did it for 10 years. It took me THAT long to get sober. I can't even cry anymore for the friends that overdosed and died cuz there have been sooo many. I've overdose 4 times. It's NOT worth it. I dropped out of school, didn't go to college, just really screwed up my life, and it started by smoking pot with my "friends" PLEASE DONT DO IT!! Email me if you want to talk more. Please talk to your friends about quitting. Good luck!

"Hey buddy! Dock your boat here for a good time!!" (Pier Pressure. Get it?)
Is it bad for you? I know a guy who has been smoking pot practically since the day he was born. He's almost 30 now & I still see him every once in a while when he's delivering pizza to my house. I know another guy... same thing. Instead of delivering pizza, he just jumps around from job to job barely making minimum wage. It's not always true, but it's usually that people who smoke pot on a regular basis tend to go nowhere.

ur right, pot is not that addicting. the problem is that when on it you cannot make clear decisions and if you are outside (expecialy in a car) you could do something very harmful, or fatal, to urself or others because ur nt thinking. also pot just leads to bigger and more dangerous drugs. PLEASE DO NOT DO DRUGS! they are very bad for you, even ifthey are not addicting. you increase the chance of u getting cancer by like 50% not to mention many other harmful side effects

because if you do your a stupid idiot. Im really sorry but it would be true. OK everyone reacts differently to drugs, because of a condition of mine if i take drugs the damage may be irreparable, and i would start going crazy.
They ARE highly addictive, and your friends ARE addicted. if you were around the people taking drugs yes you could get in trouble.
Need any more examples?

You shouldn't get sucked into peer pressure. It sounds like you really don't want to, so you shouldn't try it. Any illegal drug can be addictive and very dangerous. I don't think you should get caught up in that!
