USD1350 won't include accomodation, food, transportaion, etc.

Will I still be able to save money for my family and myself?

And another thing, I still need VIsa for me to go in Abu Dhabi right? How long is the process of getting a UAE Visa?

Assuming you are an American girl, USD 1.350 without anything else being provided would leave you being despearte in Abu Dhabi.

A Studio apartment cost between Dh 25.000 and Dh 35.000 yearly. Mostly paid yearly or half yearly in advance by forwarded cheques.

Food? Depends on you. Imported poducts are very expensive compared to what you pay in USA

Transportation during the day is okay but at night you'll have to pay double.

Besides rent you also have to pay telephone, water and electricity. Quiet sure sometime you also want to go out and have fun. If you go to the clubs Dh 100 are gone very fast.

If you take that job offer, the company will provide you with an employment visa to enter the UAE. It is said that processing for the residence visa will take only a couple months, but an American friend of mine is waiting for 5 monts now already.
Please note: all visa costs have to be on the company and are not deductalbe from the salary.

E mail me and I will provide you with more details.

Take care

Abu Dhabi is way cheaper than staying in Dubai. I think it s a better idea to put your designation so people can evaluate whether you are offered appropriately.

USD1350 is not bad in Abu Dhabi if you are used to living your life in the basics and not much of spending money for luxury.

Your EMPLOYMENT visa SHOULD be provided by your company. Normal process for employment visa should not take more than 2 weeks if they face not any single problem with your visa application.

If they insist on getting a visit visa for you, make sure they process your employment visa immediately to avoid the hassles that goes when your visit visa expires in 60 days - (renewable for 30 days). Visit visa can be taken out immediately within a day or two.

Salary depends on what kind of job it is. WiIl you be full time or part time. It seems a little on the low side from what I have heard about the payscale in UAE. Rents in UAE range from 22,000 Dirhams to 25,000 Dirhams per year and rents are paid quarterly (not monthly). According to yahoo finance's currency convertor this equals approximately 5,250 USD. So you would be looking at about $450 - $500 per month for an apartment. I was just looking on the internet today for jobs in UAE. I believe that the company that hired you will have to sponsor you in, but you are still responsible for getting a visa which you should be able to apply for at the Embassy with a letter from the company.

The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered. Other online resources are salary.com and payscale. Your salary will also depend on your educational qualification and how you handle your career.
