My PFA paper?

Question

The pfa paper I have against a crazy person runs out next year and Im afraid it will only cause him to start his crap again.Can I have it renewed or get another one issues just to be safe?Or does he have to do something physical?On my first attempt to get one,I was told by domestic relations that he has to physically beat me up first!!WTF?I begged to get the 1st one issued & had to get legal help to get the first one.Do I have to have more incidents to get another one issued when the first one runs out? Concerned in Pennsylvania.
