If this is as uncontrollable as it seems why must we hate? If they tell us that they are gay they are confident in that you will be nice or not ignorant. i dislike all hate and because of the high gay population and the fact a gay person has never hurt me (especially not because they were gay). I just don't understand the ignorance and hate. Can we fix this despicable defiling of other humans and friends? Yes I know that scientifically being gay is not normal. Still I believe we should still show love. Peace

People hate what they don't know and/or fear. Ignorance also plays a factor into it. Hating takes up so much energy, I have to ask, is it really worth it? And the people, who are being hated, generally don't care.

I think there is two anwers here. The first is a lot of people are scared of what they don't understand. The second is more complicated. I think it's the attitude that some people give off. I have a brother that is gay, I love him and like his friends. He is what he is, but he is so much more than that and it is not pushed down anyones throat. So many people (be it gays or minorities or some other group that feels 'different') think they are defined by that and try to push it to every one to show they are proud. I can't stand to see a heterosexual couple making out in public (that seems to be usually a teen thing) so why would I want to see gay's doing it? But they think it is their 'right' and are 'proud'. Well I'm proud to be married but I don't have marital sex at the library. I'm not sure if I made my opinion clear, but that is just my thoughts. I think if they truly believe it's natural and act like it, then less people would have problems with it.

People often hate what they fear or do not understand. They might misunderstand gay people and view our lives as a threat to straight people's lives. If there is a way to show heterosexuals the beauty in all they fear, their fears might dissipate because the understanding will sink into them and make things clear. There's NO excuse for hating gays, and it is not a threat to straight people or even the future.

People are hateful because of something they don't or don't want to understand. I'm not sure if it will ever change either. We seem to be stuck in the past. I'm disappointed that there is still some racial and sexual orientation hating people. This is something I will never understand. We are all the same equally. I applaud you for your question. Thank you for not hating others.

Honestly? They are stupid. They worry what goes on in your bedroom. It is none of their *** **** business ! What two people do in their bedroom is your own deal.

I think they are just mad because they visualize it in their minds. Maybe they are a lttle gay themselves hehe :-)

Ignorance breeds hate breeds idiots. People are just scared of the unknown. It's dumb but true.

because they are just full of hate starting with themselves and if you hate yourself you can't possibly have compassion and understanding for anyone else or anything different from that of your own little tiny world; pity people like that for they will never know what true unconditional love is because they have never experienced it before in their lives.

Hate is a completely wasted emotion. It only hurts the hater.

right on.
people who hate other people, are just afraid that they'll end up becoming them. like homophobics-they're scared of being gay- so they hate gays.

it is mostly the religious types that are so filled by hate, they don't understand that they contradict themselves by not showing love and compassion, which is what religion supposedly teaches.
